so get 3.55 ofw put on usb update on ps3 then once you done that just update to 3.56 then you should be done but as well get ride of any homebrew he has as well before update to 3.56 and after doing all that your patch will stay on but make sure it a patch you really like because at the moment there no CFW for 3.56 fw

Hi he wont get ask to update his patch as long as he not stupid and get rid of it before updating to 3.56 it on there as long as you keep it there so ya he keep it and will not be ask to update on mw2 anyway how many ps3 has he got
