It took me all day to get this damn bypass working and I've encountered nearly EVERY problem with it. I decided to make this thread to help you queers F33L kool and host Mw2 lobbies again.

Q: My Charles program brings up the following error:

A: Well I go into CMD and put the following in:
netstat -o -n -a | findstr 0.0:80
AND
netstat -o -n -a | findstr 0.0:443
Now look at the numbers all the way on the right! Remember that number! Next! Go into task manager! Click on services tab! Now find the number that was on the right of cmd! Once you know the program click on service and go ahead and stop it! It turned out to be anon for me!

Q: I did everything but when I try to log in ps3 it won't work!

A: You probably messed up in Charles! Here's a good way to fix it from OMGaMexican. First go to Tools/Map Local Settings. Now delete all the "*" and put your region code in! Next go to Rewrite | Check Enable Rewrite and click Add
Name: Version header replace

Under Locations click Add

Q: When I try to log on it still asks to update!

A: Make sure you have put the ps3-updatelist.txt in C:\ and have edited properly to your region! Heres a list of region numbers to put You must login or register to view this content. AND the CDN= prefix, so fuk01 becomes fus01 for US. Then make sure you saved that file to the C:\ AND you directed it properly in Charles.

Q: What is the DNS I should enter in my PS3 and how do I find it!

A: First go into cmd prompt! Click the start menu, run, then enter cmd. Now that your in cmd just type in the following and press enter: ipconfig

In cmd find your IPv4 Address! That will be what you put as your PRIMARY DNS! Then find default gateway in cmd and that will be your SECONDARY DNS!

Q: I'm not sure if AsbestOS is working right!

A: When you start up AbestOS it should end up saying something like lv2 failed. When that comes up just press X to continue!

Q: I'm confused on the AsbestOS/CA24.cer part!

A: Okay well first of make sure your changing the original .crt extension to .cer! Next your going to run AsbestOS and wait for the error. When error comes just press X. Now with Comgenies Awesome file manager navigate to dev_rwflash/data/cert. Stay highlighted over the CA24 on that side. Now go the other side and navigate to your dev_usb0000. (You should have the modded CA24.cer in the usb!) Just press select, (your screen should turn red) then hit circle and confirm the copy! Now you should be good to go!

Q: Why can I connect to PSN but cant connect to any match making servers?

A: First off keep Charles open to access the online servers not just psn. (That is reported to work for some people). If that doesn't work just close Charles AND PS3DNS and re run them.

Q: Charles says: failed to find Java VM. What should I do?

A: Just download the run time environment of Java! Here's one for 64 bits You must login or register to view this content.

If you are using the 32 bit version of Charles you must have a 32 bit JRE installed, and vice versa if you're using the 64 bit version of Charles you must have a 64 bit JRE installed.

If you have the correct JRE installed, please try reinstalling – if Charles can't find your JRE then it is likely that your registry contains some invalid details, which reinstalling will correct.

Q: I'm always getting an error when trying to install the AsbestOS pkg file on my ps3, what should I do now? im on waninkokos cfw v2?

A: It might be a problem with Charles! Follow the steps above. ALSO this is a key step for me! TURN OFF YOUR FIREWALL!

-TURN OFF FIREWALL

-You do NOT need to set the proxy option on the PS3.

-You can close Charles after you have signed in

-You MUST keep open PS3DNS.exe

-BEFORE DOING MY Q&A HELP UNINSTALL CHARLES REMOVE ALL CONTENTS WITH IT THEN REINSTALL IT AND DO WHAT I SAID WITH CHARLES!

-The progam requires .NET 3.5

I felt that the settings were still being used form the last guide i used.

I uninstalled charles. Along that i also deleted the folder in Local disk C>Users>(username)>appdata>roaming>Charles

After deleting the folder Charles I ran ccleaner just to make sure i cleaned stuff out. I dont know if it did anything but im just posting my steps.

Once i did that i deleted the V3.0 and downloaded 3.1 that OP posted.

Installed Charles again.

Then took the config file and placed it on the Local disk C>Users>(username)>appdata>roaming>Charles>config file

Then i took the text file and put it on the root of the C drive.

Edited accordingly to the Orginal post.

Restarted charles and started up the dns server.

Set up the psn connection and now im online

When i download AsbestOS v1.5 i notice that the name of the file is lv2-v9.pkg
If i recall right, george hotz stated in his video, that patching the lv2 will brick the ps3... Am i missing something?

Edit 2: First time connecting said it needed a system update (forgot to turn firewall off), turned it off, now on connection test it says timed out (80028E010).

I am getting the exact same error as him. I followed everything perfectly but am getting this error when i sign in. I also noticed that when I go to System Update, I get the same error code but it says "A connection to the server could not be established"
Any ideas anyone?

You need .NET 3.5 (not SP1, but if you have both, thats fine)
You also need to extract the .DLL file included with the DNS program

The .exe and .dll NEED to both be in the same directory as eachother.

for gt5 i had to use my routers ip for second dns and close both charles and ps3dns to sign onto gt5's servers

never mind still wont connect
