You should always exercise caution when using dev_blind; dev_blind itself is safe, how you use it though, that’s on you. And it doesn’t hurt to create backups either.

Running the dev_blind pkg a second time (or rebooting) will unmount /dev_blind, restoring your read-only access to dev_flash.


but this also is an alternative to the AsbestOS / Freeflash that you need for PSN bypass.

You can just use this now.

And this one has the option to UNMOUNt unlike freeflash.

how is this an alternative to PSN bypass?

thank u if it wasent for this i couldnt never overwrite the CA24.cer now i bypassed

it only enables read/write to dev_flash as an alternative to running asbestos installer and failing.

well not.

This one allows unmounting meanign to remove the special dev_blind directory that ur ps3 is pointing to, in case say u dont want it anymore and
want to go back to default dev_flash / legit, and or are updating and do this.

just rerun the program to unmount. and ur legit again.

How does AsbestOS fail? i used AsbestOS an i managed to deleted teh CA24.cer and copy over the new CA24.cer from my USB.

I think most ppl are waiting for an easy method, I mean ppl thought installing CFW was difficult lol
