I thought all hope was lost until someone showed this to me and I tried it. It worked (after the third time) you have to get the right amount of time heating the GPUs up and amount of thermal compound you apply. Good luck!
(It might look hard but I had no prior electrical background and it worked just fine for me)
I have had two of these they are really annoying but if done great it should last a while i know they already linked you but here are some extratips to help
VIDEO-record yourself it will get tricky
MARK-mark your spots because there are alot of tiny screws and alot of ribbon cables that go for miles(LOL)
RECALL PLACE OF PARTS-SOME PARTS DONT JUST (SLIDE IN) BUT JUST SIT THERE SO YOU'LL HAVE TO USE YOUR BEST JUDGEMENT ON IT BECAUSE IT WILL DRIVE YOU CRAZY.
DUST- most imp. part. there is ALOT ALOT ALOT of dust all over the inside so be sure to dust every thing off because thats what causes over heat and then last the thermal paste is necessary(the first time i did it i diddnt use it and it diddnt work so apply just a little and the heat gun is also necessary to (reallign it)
good luck and take your time.
