I think it'd come with the 3.56, not completely sure, but theres a chance it can have 3.55, best of luck to you if you do decide to get a new ps3.

if you buy one soon theres a good chance you can get a 3.55 or lower because stores must sell the old before the new i work at walmart i know
i recomend a referb 60 or 40 with bc almost guaranteed to be below 3.55

PS3's don't restock often at normal stores.

What ever you do do NOT go to a games store, go to some place like Target and you'll definitely get a 3.50/3.55, if not just take it back the same day still in same box with all the packaging.

My cousin just bought his ps3 last Thursday and the firmware was 3.53 I think not sure, but I do know it was under 3.56 because he now has it running kmeaw 3.55(he purchased it at gamestop BTW)

It will most likely come on low FW if not just keep trading it in until you get one on low FW.
