Sony has issued a statement regarding the PS3 Jailbreak.
Now, when something like came out from Sony themselves, we knew something horrible would happen. Ban.

You are playing with your backups online? Ban.
Playing emulators in your PS3? Ban.

Playing with your legal bought games on a legal firmware and a legal console online? Ban.

So, i suggest everyone to stay away from PSN completely especially for those are using F*CKPsn on older firmwares.

Oh, and no wipe history or any bull wipe crap apps will save you. (You must login or register to view this content.)

Even drizzt pointed that.

•Sony monitors all messages over PSN.

•All connected devices return values sent to Sony server returns TV, Firmware version, Firmware type, Console model

•They also collects data in your USB attached device.

•Credit card sent as plain text

•The best part of all, the list is stored online and updated when u login PSN and random.

ADVICE:
Seems Sony is willing to give the rule breakers a chance, so if you are worried about being banned.

Stop using the PSN bypass method, reflash your 3.55 CFW machine, with 3.55 OFW, completely format your harddrive, then install 3.56,

If you arent worried about being banned or if you don’t use PSN, then just stay were you are

Just My Personal Opinion:

They want you to update because when they drop this useless case on geohot he's probably releasing the key to the city and all those that updated wont be able to use it. lol

Sony prying in your personal business cant be legal. i think there a few sony boys out there trying to pass fear on to everyone. "omg you better update "

s0ph0r
it isnt m3
From what I can tell, this message has only been sent to psn users that were online on cfw consoles. People say they sent the email to every dns bypassed console, what I think, is BULL.

I was sure about a ban, that's why I created a new user for my hacked ps3:
Hacked PS3, was online with every dns bypass there was released, played backup fifa11 online, ran homebrew and games from hdd or usb while connected, got the warning email.

Legit PS3, was online with 3.55 ofw with the first dns bypass until they switched it off, with my legit psn user (real email address) - Then updated to 3.56. --> no warning email from sony received.

I wonder what happens, when you sign in with another new created user on your hacked ps3. Will they ban immediately or just send an email and wait for 2 days or something? :pedo:

€: they don't seem to ban immediately, I'm still online.
