Depends what update your on, 3.56 doesn't accept new hard drives.

Yes you can upgrade and install 3.55 FW.

Sony already fixed that problem. You can upgrade HDD on 3.56 now.

No problem. Yeah I just put in a new hard drive earlier this week. Sony did a "silent" update without your permission (though you gave them permission to when updating to 3.56). So it is all good to go now.

I tried putting in a hardrive which was on 3.55 or 3.54 .. or something before 3.55 ..

Anyway .. When i tried to use this old hardrive it just said , 'Please use a hardrive with update data 3.56 or higher then restart' .. or something like that ..

Didnt work and i was sooo P*ssed off !!

ok the hdd that u was using before put it in it should work go to update it will let u (unadvertised update) this will fix the hdd updating then itll work just like older fw
