So ya, if Sony wanted to ban you for jailbreaking+bypassing, they would have banned the fuk out of your lil poor ass when you were on the simple DNS trick, but they didnt, cuz they couldnt see you. Now, whats the difference? i mean both ways relate to DNS ports... the only differnce is that the recently released method is not direct, so they might have a lil chancing catching you on that one, but i highly doubt it since they're servers only show the client ip info and i dont think, i say again, not quite sure, that it doesnt show how its connected, plus, firmware 3.55 doesnt have self code execution, meaning it doesnt send Sony anything about how your firmware patches are modified, again, has anyone been actually banned? if so then PM me

Several points that need to be made here:
1. This type of thread has been done to death by others
2. People have been banned so far. Mostly those that play Call of Duty games.
3. When you sign in on 3.55, Sony already knows as you can't "spoof" their network in believing you are online on 3.56 when only on 3.55.

they could see all the people that were connecting from the same ip the first dns bypass
