look up how to download and use a file splitter it splits the files so that the fat32 will accept them

Ok, So I've posted this a few times over last week, but I still need help with this same issue. Lets try this again:

I recently "aquired" a back-up of Agarest:Generations of War. I know that one of the files in there is over 6 gigs, crazy because the whole thing is only like 10 gigs. I then ran it through Split4G and it detected the file in question. I then set the output as my external HDD (F: /GAMEZ/) in the directory that usually use for games for multiMAN on the external. Now heres where it gets frustrating....I connected the hard drive to the PS3 in the right hand USB port. After I then ran lv2 patcher and restarted the PS3. I opened up multiMAN and the game is listed in my games page. I used R1 to "Fix Permissions" for this game. After choosing the game I selected not to direct boot....So, back to the XMB....Disc in XMB shows as Agarest...So I select the disc..."Disc" boots and I get the little icon in the lower left hand corner like the game is loading...then, nothing...Black screen. Is my problem somewhere in the file splitter? If anyone can give me any input on this game or program in conjunction with multiMAN I sure would appreciate it. I REALLY want this game to work.

:wtf:

Why would I need to merge them? I'm kinda confused on this one. Where do they merge...On the PS3? I cant merge them on the external HDD right? Will these work on Windows XP?

Yes they work on Windows just fine and the merge file is there simply because they kind of go hand in hand, if you don't need it then don't use it, figured someone else might have a use for it so I posted it. Didn't mean to confuse anyone.

Oh, so I dont need to re-merge the files...Doesnt multiMAN merge them on the PS3...Or if I use Comgenie to transfer the BLES file to hdd_dev00 in /GAMES/ will it merge then? Look man I dont mean to be annoying, but would like to have a firm grasp on this. I truly appreciate your help tho.

You don't need to re-merge the files. Also just so you know, both BLES and BLUS files will work on multiman.

Here's a guide that Juddy made on the subject, just disregard any of the download links and the part that tells you to use a disc and replace that with the app_home folder. It has pictures so it should be easy to follow step by step.
