So, we are in the middle of a ban era by Sony or tsunami of ban wave, to be fancy. Whatever we called it, the start button has been pushed, never we can deny a fact that they shouldn’t. They should though, make sure that the ban process be done correctly to keep the legal players away from the mess.

A very well known and respected PS3 hacker, SKFU have gone through some interesting theory that anyone can make an application to modify all traffic sent to Sony so that they appear as another legit user and illegally playing backups online. If Sony caught it, they will ban that ‘another legit user’ but not the user who modify the traffic. This is because of the system they’ve worked on to ban PSN users.

The will if you send them fake logs, that will really screw them up and they could get sued
