Ok I understand now that a complete make over of psn is most prob out of the question. tho would a simple homebrew app ('simple' meaning not as complex as PSN) that has a log in like psn nothing special just a text based player HUB, where ppl can create private games (starting of with the most popular games) and make it available to the rest of the community, have a homebrew section so ppl can download homebrew directly to there PS3. Pretty much along the lines of Steam just not as complex. We already have everything available, PCFreak30 quoted Its called xlink, leaf or those serviices it just needs to stay on the ps3. People dont wanna have to login through there PC to use there console.or even touch there PC to play the PS3 online. They just wont freedom.
Games such as GT5 already have a similar concept built into the game.. maybe thats the direction gaming developers should head.. Maybe PSN should head this way too.. hint hint if there are any spyes reading this forum.. ppl love hosting there own games weather its a custom game setup or a legit setup.. ppl just want there lobby available for anyone to join..
The early gaming companies created this need for hacking and doing cheats. and having control. ever since they coded the first cheat code into a game.. trearch knows this so does all gaming developers Black ops has its fair share of cheat codes which everyone knows by now.. right at the main menu R, L , R, L and the PC..
They know they will never stop the hackers from hacking all they can do is slow them down. and ban innocent ppl that just want to get more from there purchase..
I know this post is a little all over the place, too much coffee I think, lotsa things running through my head all at once.. near having a meltdown. lol
Thanks for reading..

That is a good reason to start a new era of gaming. If your lucky, some company might be able to design a system with no restrictions like you said. However, Sony tries to maintain a controlled and fair gaming environment. They decided to base the games on your skill and ability to play a game and not on your ability to modify a game, and I respect their decision. Sometimes it's better to keep everything fair. However, like you said, it would be nice to have some variety in gaming systems.
I really hope they do.. all these restriction, make me feel like im in jail in my own living room..
