my dad read the letter and wants to delete everything on the ps3 asap ... and he is pissed.

i dont believe they will ban everyone and besides, EVERYONE recieves the email from sony if you checked the box to recieve them when you made your account, i think they are trying to scare us but who knows

I don't see how they could know your running game mods unless they are transferring a copy of the FF to their servers. In that case that would be invasion of privacy for copying personal information... Only other way is to monitor traffic and see whats getting transferred which is spying as well.

If you want PSN, they go legit. If you don' care enjoy your CFW and a ban possibly. I personally want my PS3's freedom, and I will try to out smart sony sometimes too as a challenge...
