I would think it would depend on which OFW you are running..

If your OFW is 3.56 and you send the save game to him on 3.55 it might make a difference.. I think you would have a better chance if he starts it out on his CFW 3.55 then sends it to you.

if you move data to diffrent consoles it will say corrupt data unless you ftp it to the console you want it on, all depends what game tho i think...

Yes, it says corrupted data unless its modified on the ps3 it will be used on.(For most games)
