1. Download above file.
2. Extract the folder.
3. Put the psarc file into the folder you extracted.
4. Drag the psarc file to PSARC.exe
5. Drag the newly created psarc folder into where the psarc file was.
6. Delete the .psarc file because you don't need it anymore
7. Run it, and it should work.

For example

I have Uncharted 2 and the psarc file is in /ps3_game/USRDIR/build/main/
I would copy that to the folder where the program you downloaded is. (c:\...\Downloads\PSARC\). You would drag the psarc file to the exe and it would make a folder. I would then copy that folder to /ps3_game/USRDIR/build/main/ and delete the original .psarc file.

It's not new news exactly, but it's useful for people new to this. I have gotten several questions about this and this could hopefully clear that up. Games like Uncharted 2, GoW3/collection, all work fine if you use this method.


I might upload pics in the future; I don't have any spare PSARC files on my computer to do it at the moment. Once again, Barry fails at making titles.

I tested Killzone 3 on the external, but it has a black screen. This is probably because of the multiple folders it has and how it moves the game to the root of the external. All other games work though.

You have to move the other folders into the main data_ps3

The reason it doesn't actually work is because it moves the game to the root of the HDD, causing a black screen at startup. I'm not sure why it does this.

i used this on hawx 2 and its playing from ext hdd with no sound.
i'm not sure if the sound will work on int hdd or if the back up is bad.

well front mission is stuck on loading screen.

vanquish..no psarc file.it's a .cpk file that is to big.

moto storm pacific rift..psarc.exe crashes when you try.
