Step 1. Start up blackb0x and connect through the FTP client of your choice.

Step 2. Go to dev_hdd0/games/XXXXXX

Step 3. Download the PARAM.SFO and Open it up in SFO editor.

Step 4. While in SFO editor select advanced settings.


Step 5. Where it says CATEGORY, That determines what category your game is in. Change it to the category you want.
These are the 2 digit codes for the categorys

HM Playstation Network
CB Network
HG Game
AV Video
AM Music
AP Photo
AT TV


Step 6. Enter your category code, save it, and upload it back to your PS3.

Step 7. Go back to your PS3 and go to the game you just edited ( It should be in the original category it was in before) Run the game and exit and now the game should be in the newly chosen category.
*The only game/homebrew that doesn't need to be run is blackbox.

Yes you can but its not simple. Acid-CFW has a custom category in it. Im not sure how to make a category.

i get a error when starting a game when i put it on a HM

You can edit the PKG's before you install them so that they install into the correct category without having to edit the PKG again.

can you install movies this way through ftp ?
