If you haven't, you're most likely getting the banhammer. So don't bother updating period, if you haven't already.

So, if you did update from CFW to 3.56 and were worried that you were still risking a ban, this should put you at ease.

Now, there's a slight chance that this dude was bluffing out of his ass, but he seemed legit enough.

Hi guys was thinking of buying a ps3 jailbreak heard sony blocked psn for now so i have a few questions i am not bother about psn just playing games offline from external hard drive with a backup from disc with multiman can this still be done or has sony blocked jailbreak completely cheers guys. seen a few ps3's with cfw 3.55

No, as long as you stay offline Sony does not have a chance of blocking you. I mean think about it how would they? How could they?
