Ok so i guess i got the HDD problem,

i was sure i was on the v2 of 3.56 but i guess not cause when i try and install it it still goes back to the error page.


So Now i ask,

What should i do? Am i totally screwed on this ps3 with hdd problems 3.56 or maybe when sony releases a update i can install it and it work?

like 3.60?

or should i go into factory / service mode and just stay there and be in better fait? or what?

in future soonish will / could there be a fix for this or not?
i cant send it to sony, for one my warrenty sticker is ****ed, second i dont got warrenty and dont got 150 to send it to them.

I think you should do factory/hard reset.

how would i go about doing that when i dont have access to the menu i get a error when the ps3 starts up,

saying ps3 can not be run please reinstall so i reinstall on my original hdd and it says same thing after installation

actually it processes the update
gets to 100% then goes blank then goes back to the same error.

The 3.56 update, released Jan 27, 2011, included 3D Blu-Ray support and security measures to block the recently-discovered jailbreak PS3 security issues.

But it also prevents system updates from being loaded from external media. In other words, if your PS3 is firmware 3.56 and you try to add a new hard drive, it will ask you to insert removable storage with the latest firmware data and press “Start” and “Select” at the same time to initiate the transfer, just like before on many other firmware versions.
The issue is that the PS3 finds the update and displays a message that says “The data is corrupt,” and the PS3 must be restarted, error code 8002F2C5.

As of this writing, there is no fix. If you have a new PS3 and it is NOT updated to 3.56, you can upgrade your PS3-----install your upgraded hard drive first before updating to 3.56 and you’re good to go.

You are probably going to be out a console sadly.....

It sounds like a different variation of the same problem. In other words, the slight differences that you had with the OP in that link might have been enough to give you a slightly different error.

It still sounds to me like the 3.56 bug has killed your PS3.

mk well i was asking is there any hope for it in the future / a way to fix it, i already know its dead, im looking at the screen right now>>>>
