With the release of custom firmware came an explosion of hacked systems that have attacked famous games like the Call of Duty franchise. With all these hacks it was appropriate to presume Sony would make a comeback and they sure as hell did. They sued the main man (Geohot), took down several hacking sites, let the banhammer come down harder than ever and removed our privileges on PSN.

By this point Sony had us pissing blood in hopes to scare us shitless and stop us from doing our thing; but that wasn't enough as we have balls of steel. We came back with our bypasses, homebrew, hacks and piracy. We will not stop. Sony can take our leaders and annihilate us online but just as we anticipated Sony, Sony should have anticipated us.

Intro

Right now we have to find a way to stay safe from Sony and their banhammer. I myself do not recommend using PSN on a custom firmware system, instead buy a one TB hard drive and install it to your PS3 then piss sony off by being a pirate. Even without PSN Sony still has the right under the SCEA ToS to remotely access your console. Although this does violate our rights Sony has displayed they don't care.

1. Download all your neccesary files.

2. Install The log cleaner.

3. Run it.

4. Every time you finish using homebrew run it to ensure you can't be caught using this software.

You see even if your not signed in your console sends logs to Sony. If sony sees you running this software your system will be shut closed meaning every time you power the system on it will give you an error and will not allow you to access the XMB.

They indeed can. Do you know when you download something off PSN it has a url? Like game patches for example is under You must login or register to view this content..

Something like that. Anyways its used to retrieve logs and verify whether your console is on official firmware or custom firmware.

sony cannot remotely deactivate your console... effectively that is what your stating this would lead to huge lawsuits against sony for deactivatiny consoles

Yea I know that when you start your PS3 up, it goes to some urls.
But.. They can't deny my access to XMB.. They are not allowed to do it, and probably they can't do it?

If they "deny you access to the XMB" then that is highly illegal. Even if it says they can in their ToS, it doesn't override the law.

Old news, something like this was released about a month ago called erase me.

Are your speculations based on theories ? Sony have never once mentioned they'll ban you from accessing the XMB, just PSN. Doing so is highly illegal for them to remotely disable the XMB would literally render your PS3 useless. Please dont spread these silly stories, 70% of the people in these forums when using common sense know that the bans imply to PSN only
