so if i let it restore the hard disks file system i wont loose anything
(and i dont like the fact that rootkits have that ability to hide strings it makes shit difficult to work with)

And yes santino you SHOULD be fine, taken the data which you are trying to restore is not corrupted beyond retrieval. And if that is the case you really have no way to get it back at the moment.

the rootkit is a problem on the 3.56 CFW i know that It Should be to verify system files or trying to find homebrew but sony didnt enabled it Yet so yes it IS in there but its not activated yet

i believe it will come with the next Fw together with the Cloud system

but it could be an kernel-mode rootkit or a persistent rootkit so

It ****ed myn up too corrupt hard disk when that does what it does it doesnt delete anything it just deletes corrupted files

no. iv tried it before and used a sata cable tht didnt show up so i tried partitioning it onto my computer and that ****ed the computer up and the hard drive, i wouldent recomend doing this if i were you.
