YEa if havent passed the date and time settings you could do it with the ofw. No joke that was a fail man

Idk maybe if you take a the 3.55 ofw but rename the text thingy to 3.56 maybe it could recoqnize it and download the 3.55 stuff maybe this could work????????????

hmm, well theres 2 things wrong with your theory...
1. you can't rename it 3.56 because it has to be named PS3UPDAT.PUP it can't be renamed or the ps3 won't pick it up...
2. i am wireless, when restoring a ps3 it resets all of your settings so i would lose connetion to my router automatically, there for there would be no connection what so ever i would have to manually set it back up, so none of what you just said would ever work....
