(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay, some people may get this working, but people like me, who spent the entire day trying to fix the permissions need this thread.

You will need -
1) A usb
2) Comgenies Awesome Filemanager
4) CA27 (or 24) file (obviously)
5) You must login or register to view this content.

Here goes, make sure to have a backup of the certificate file incase you lack a brain. I will be talking about ca27 but it also aplys to CA24.

1) Take the CA27.cer file, AsbestOS pkg and Comegenie PKG on your USB

2) Now slot the USB in your PS3, install both AsbestOS and Comegenie.

3) Install AsbestOS, it may take time and the HDD light would not flash. Just wait around 5-10 minutes.

4) When is says press X to exit, do it.

5) Fire up Comgenie, remember to press SELECT otherwise CA27 will NOT copy.

6) In your left, go to USB00X and hover the CA27

7) Press right, and go to rwdev_flash (something like that), then data>cert.

Cool Man (aka Tustin) hover the CA27 there, press left and then circle.

9) Press start and it should copy.

REMEMBER TO PRESS SELECT!! IF THE BACKGROUND IN COMGENIE IS NOT RED THEN ITS NOT GOING TO WORK!!

I haven't tried this with Dev_Blind due to multiple fails. However I cannot guarantee it wont work.

Hope I helped.

orly?

The fact of the matter is.... I couldn't. And there was a 50 paged thread of other people who also couldn't, down at PSX-SCENE. Most of them was 60GB. I really cant see the point of you coming here bitching about something that doesn't relate to you. If you successfully managed to replace the CA27, good for you. Sadly this thread isn't about that.

Nice tut, but too many out there. Thanks for efforts anyway. I also recommend dev_blind, as abestos was never ment for this.

Oh if you use charles, use CA24, if you use ****psn, use CA27. I use CA24 just fine Smile.

Other than that, mounting the flash shouldn't be hard. And using FTP or filemanager homebrew seems trivial too.

Good job none the less...

Ur dumb. CA27 is in your nand. Download charles, and in the docs folder make a copy of the CRT and rename it.

There you have your CER...

Can you give me the link? As I can't seem to find it on the forum there.
Nor can I find similar via google.

It doesn't matter if you overwrite ca24 or ca27 or even both

I'm back on charles, both ca's replaced.
You can also replace 05, 34 and 37 but than you have to make sure you can proxy or reverse proxy all connections.

The reason to advise to use the original ca24 with f...psn is that some games use this certificate and the links are not proxy-ed with f...psn.

why do I need to install asbestos?

Its an alternative to Dev_Blind to make the dev_flash writable.

Seriously, I have doubts that you have friends. I did not say this was the way to do it. Its an alternative. Again if you done it succesfully, good for you. **** off this thread.
