(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi Guys,

I use KMEAW 3.55 and Multiman 1.15 to run my backups and it hasnt taken long to eat up my system memory.

I am going to purchase a 1TB exernal USB HDD but dont want to buy one and find its not compatible.

I want to store the backups on the HDD and connect it to my PS3 via USB and launch via multiman, without the need to transfer to PS3

Any experience / advice welcome...

Its 160GB, got about 12 games but some are big, around 20gb each.

I know I can expand the internal memory but would rather have one HUGE master HDD connected via USB.

Any ideas which models / manufacturers work?

Or do they all work, just need formatting to FAT32?

Any model will most likely work, as long as it's formatted as FAT32. I got a 2TB western digital external drive, and on that i made a 300GB fat32 partition for ps3 games.
But, you should keep in mind that games with a single file larger than 4GB will not work from the external HDD

bought a few month ago a 1tb external hdd, dunno if usb 3.0 on ps3 downgrades themself to usb 2.0 so be careful
if you mainly use the hdd to play backupped games i recommended to buy a cheaper usb 2.0 ext hdd like i did Smile
