I was following a guide from a website to install custom firmware: You must login or register to view this content.

I followed it to the letter, only I decided to use Gaia Manager 2.07 instead of Rogero. I was able to install the custom firmware without any problems but whenever I try to run any of the package files (Gaia, Fix Permissions, BlackBox 1.2 Signed 3.41 and even Lv2 version 6 just in case), all I get is a black screen and I have to switch off my PS3. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

downloaded the 3.55 OFW install the ofw and download the namia cfw here -->You must login or register to view this content.-access.html. And install it

And then reinstall all the packages and tell me if it worked.

Your console is bricked basicly.

Found this video was real help to me.

I doubt I'm bricked, as when I switch my PS3 off then on again, it works as normal...

Your link doesn't work but I'm going to get my PS3 back to OFW 3.55 and try again. See if that helps.

I used Geohotz CFW first then installed kmeaw's CFW overtop, everything works perfectly fine

I tried Geohotz CFW (I got it from PS3-Hacks) but when I try to install it in the recovery menu, it says that the data is corrupted...
