Someone creates a website/server that we can connect to through our playstation's browser, and it will set up an ONLINE file share/ftp through your local network. LIKE what you can do to share folders, on a pc. Then we connect through our internet browser. Using this url:

FTP:/ip here

Anyway, I know that there is a way, to do that I just forgot the url.
Anyway that is my idea of the url thing.
But moving on, then you just connect to your ps3 hdd, and wala!
FTP on 3.56?

People would share it just like everyone else lurking this section. We help other people out. If it didn't work on 3.41, it won't work on 3.xx ~ I'm just saying and not even trying to flame. The thread will go nowhere because no one is testing it ... again ...

All this is is assumptions that it will work instead of you guys actually finding out for yourself if it works. I am just saving you the time because it won't work since me and my friend Quentin have tried this a long time ago.

Thats a good idea but im pretty sure the ps fire wall would block getting to parts of the hard drie thus meaning wont work but if you could figure away around that possible fix but good thought. :y:

You can't because you don't have root access in the web browser. The reason FTP programs worked was because they were actual applications on the PS3 with root access.

good idea but i dont think the internet browser would be able to browse and edit files on the system =/ ( sony would not allow it) they probably tough of this
