What this has done?:

Sony has made it to where you may only access Netflix now Via 3.56 OFW.

Im pretty sure Sony is doing this to further block CFW access to PSN based content.. but we all know out community Dev's here at NGU work hard to make sure we find a way to bypass and keep ALL psn accessible content.

So im SURE it wont be long before someone finds a way around this, possibly even with some of the tools/resources we have available now.

FIX - METHOD TO WORK ON 3.55 CFW

There is a way to bypass this, and it's quite easy, if your on CFW do the following.
If you have updated to 2.02, delete teh installation and install the 2.01 file.
Next we need to edit the PARAM.SFO file, in the NPUP000303 folder.Use any FTP etc to get access to these.
Now use a param.sfo editor, any should do.
Edit the app version from 2.01 to 2.02.
Save, and put copy / overwrite with the new param.sfo we had just edited.
Now go back into the movie section, and press triangle /\, and you will see the version is 2.02.
All good now.

As much as I don't care about this thread. I just have to say this, you do pay for your games, but you back them up on your PC. Rip the files from the game to your PC so you can upload them on a torrent site so people can pirate games illegally. Really you are technically a pirate since you are uploading games to the internet for people to download.

Well, now that the arguing is over, I'd like to state that you've never been able to access Netflix without having the most recent OFW. It said it in the ToS when you downloaded netflix.

That's awesome! I'm gonna give this a try tomorrow. Hopefully it works.

For the other poster, Netflix is by the most popular app on ps3. Downloading movies etc through torrents are great, but to know that you can turn on netflix anytime and stream instantly some random movies with zero wait time, is just convenient and quite awesome.

Although, I still use torrents a lot for new release premium cable tv series, and BBC shows and occasionally new release movies..

Im pretty sure if you jailbroke ur ps3 you have a computer. Netflix Streaming off PC?
