So now im asking whether i should keep my PS3 on 3.41 or update it to 3.55 with CFW?
Which is safer?

When I fix my 3.41 (Has YLOD) I'm updating it to 3.55. I just hated the fact of how I had to Jailbreak it because it took forever. But, if you have the dongle then stay on 3.41.

I am in the same situation, but have my online PS3 on 3.56!!!!

Not sure whether to update my other PS3 to CFW 3.55 or leave it on 3.41 so I can jailbreak with associated dongle!!!!

3.41 is better to play backups on but you have to jb it with some kind of device witch is pain at times.
3.55 is a pain to run backups but the homebrew is better. I have both 3.41 and 3.55 and I prefer 3.41 because that is what I started on .

Thanks for the reply guys currently i am on Hermes CFW 3.41 (No more dongle needed) and i was wondering if I could play Black Ops online with the 1.06 update.. (Am able to run Black Ops single player and got F***PSN v0.5 all set up and running perfectly)

I have a associated dongle that I jailbreak with but can't get CFW to work!!! Am also using a PS3 with OFW 3.41!!!

Am trying to use Hermes v4b (3.55 spoofing)... have read and done as it says but I can't get it onto system!!! for information am not online as yet...

trying to do the same as you but can't get CFW on...... any ideas???

i switched to 3.55 so i can update some of my newer games. but only thing is that pkg have to be signed for 3.55 from the 3.41

hmm i never knew theres a 3.55 spoofing (is it for 3.41?) well all i did was... install the CFW as if ur trying to update through USB lol
