CA24 still works!!! It's just used by some games, and those are not proxied by f...psn.
Just make sure you use the correct ca's. You can't mix those from f...psn and charles

cert24 only worked with charles for me, I moved onto f*kpsn as you only need to run the one program instead of two.
If your moving from charles to f*kpsn.. remember to REPLACE the modded cert24 with an original one, Search in the forum.. if cant find search on google... ngu thread pops up when you do.
Then add the modded cert27

ok, here I go again.....
1. it are NOT modded cert's, but ca's linked to the server cert used by f...psn or charles
2. If you use charles you MUST use the cert that comes with charles, if you use f...psn you MUST use the cert that comes with f...psn
3. You can replace ca05, ca24, ca27, ca34 and ca35 all with that one cert that comes with charles, but in that case you MUST proxy ALL ssl connections.
4. easiest way is using charles on linux and using bind as your own DNS server
5. if you use charles you can use your own created server certificate and client certificates
6. Some ssl connections need reverse proxy, others can be altered by using charles as a proxy server.
7. If you have no knowledge about ssl connections, what certificates are and how they are used, what a proxy and reverse proxy does: Stop discussing, go read some education material first

I think u know more about this than all of us lol (finally someone to the rescue) I went back to using the charles method with the CA24.cer and it works. So how come the same doesn't happen when I change the CA27.cer file. I even took the CA24.cer and put the original one back when trying the FukPSN method. Any help?

This is due to you DNS settings. I'm pretty sure your ps3 is still using an external dns server.
Point your both DNS servers on the ps3 to the pc that runs charles or f...psn.
Both will transfer unknown requests to the dns server you use on the pc.
