Post: Can't Bypass Update
03-03-2011, 05:16 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); PS3 is currently on 3.55, jailbroken with KMEAW CFW.

I've replaced both CA24 & CA27 using "dev_blind" & "Comgenie's Awesome File Manager".

I've spoofed the system to 3.56 using "3.56 Version Spoofer".

I've wiped history, made history read only & cleared web history using "PSNinja_v4".

I've tried both f*ckPSN & the charles method to no avail, it would appear no matter what I do PSN can tell I'm on 3.55.

Also, I ran an internet connection test on the PS3 and I was told both my DNS & internet connectivity are fine but I failed to connect to PSN. After doing said test I can connect to the internet on my PS3 just fine, as well as connect to PSN only for it to tell me to update. After it's told me to update the PS3's web browser no longer connects to the internet, until I run another connection test.

WTF? Help me? :embarrassed:

P.S. I read somewhere I have to accept the ToS despite the fact I'm bypassing, is this true? I'm such a noob lol Claps Oh and +90 rep for help :bro:

Yes, my friend who bypassed, was required to accept the new ToS to bypass. And I've never done either method, sadly I updated, but make sure your DNS on your PS3 are correct I'm pretty sure it's like 8.8.8.8 or something for Secondary while using Charles.. And, make sure you're using the correct port.. Can't remember the right one off the top of my head.. sorry.. :/

If PSN is telling me to update how can I possibly accept the ToS?

All I can think of is on playstation.com or on my legit 3.56 PS3, would either of these work?

I'm not sure I understand your reasoning? If you accept on your 3.56 I'm pretty sure you'll still have to accept on your 3.55 and I'm unsure about what your mean about playstation.com.. And, if done correctly with your spoofer your PS3 should already think it's on 3.56 and you should just be prompted to accept the ToS.

My system info says it's on 3.56(because of spoof) yet PSN tells me there's an update. Go figure.
