well if hes asking IF he bought a new ps3 then he doesnt have it yet. But when you do check the firmware cause it might have 3.56 (MIGHT it will probley have lower)

If you buy from sony it has 3.56
if you buy from amazon (e.g) Because they have a big stock of it you would get a ps3 with 3.50 to 3.55
