I don't know much but I'll try to help. What backup manger are you using?

I usually just press circle to copy and then it works. But if it's not working then you should uninstall multiman then reinstall it. If that doesn't work then just downgrade multiman. That works sometime. And if that fails then just download Gaia Manager. It works just as well as multiman. And if that fails, then I don't know what to tell you. Tell me how it goes.

you don't need an internet connection you just need your PS3 and PC to be connected via ethernet ports you can use a router even if you don't have internet the PC and PS3 just need a way to communicate i'm not sure but it should work by just connecting your PC directly to your PS3 via ethernet cable

think of it as when u connect your ipod or cell to your PC to transfer files of music its the same thing all that is required is a cable

omg do you know how long that would take to ftp a full internal to an external.hours and i mean hours.
