Oh and if you want to know, you can use charles to do exactly what the "DNS Trick" does. If you use charles you are already doing it. Mapping ps3-updatelist.txt to a local file on your HDD.
So now there are multiple ways. But no matter what sony is still screwed ).
Is there a higher chance to get caught with the DNS bypass? or is it the same risk as Charles?

Im still using charles just edited the ps3-updatelist to 3.6000 signed in and out 4 times take it off says need to update to 3.60FW
Did u had to make any changes using charles? I am still using the same method since it came and it still works.
