What I did:
I noticed when I tried to reinstall kmeaw's 3.55 [out of desperation] it went through with most of the install process up until you see the progress bar and the static wave in the background so I tried out the install in recovery mode and it worked.

I know I was freaking out because of this , it was a massive relief

I hope this helps anyone else with this problem, Ill answer any questions i'm quoted in!

coz the ps3 doesnt auto install 3.56 without your agreement and you most certainly cant just run kmeaw 3.55 over ofw 3.56

Nah dude, I'm not a hacker but I'm not computer retarded.

I wasn't using a spoofer, it let me go online without a bypass and wouldn't run homebrew

NO who ever believes this is a fool if you got a 3.56 spoofer on yes it will work because all your doing is rewriting 3.55 on a 3.55 console
IF YOU ARE ON 3.56 OFW OR 3.60
i know as a fact it gives you the corrupted data wether your in recovery mode or just standard install
i just tried it hehehehehee
