why would you want to brick it?
If by any chance you are trying to brick it in hope of a downgrade,just wait...there's bound to be a downgrade/cfw in the future

na i want to brick it so i can return it and say its faulty

Maybe try and install a fake Custom Firmware? Google it you, Fake Ps3 custom firmware
