Some say fw is on my hdd only then y I take it out or format it still looks for recent fw when not connected to the net? It's on the nand for sure. No one has anyway to erase it though

You could tear it out somehow lol and try to find a replacement that's on 3.41 or 3.55 if it's possible. I guess you could open it up and look good luck.

Yea there's a site I seen a week or two ago someone posted here ill try to find it again t gives a full walk through how to take a slim apart along with naming each part but didn't show anything on the hand but thanks anywayz struck gold a local video game store said they have two fat 80 gigs the guy said one is still on 341 so maybe that'd be a good deal to get instead of messin with my slim

Okay listen the PS3 FAT has a NAND and the PS3 Slim has a NOR there different.

If you want to reflash the contents of the NOR than you would first need to build this:

Why is that a picture of a slim? If a slim has a NAND, and a fattie has a NOR?
