Post: Repackaging a PKG Update
03-14-2011, 01:13 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi All,

This is my very first post!:p

I have got a game update for mw2 (1.12), I Have extracted the files, and replaced the ones that i wanted.

I am stuck of Re packaging back to a PKG. Is there a simple tool that does this?

Have tried RePKG and similar but to no avail.

Ideally I am trying to add the Elite Mosseys Patch to the 1.12 game update for mw2. Then transfer this using PS3 Proxy.

BTW I am on 3.60 (AND YES I KNOW I SHOULD HAVE STAYED ON 3.55 CFW!)

Any Help would be nice Smile

I would use the search, but it don't work! & google is not much help?

Lol if only we had a CFW 3.60 (AND I KNOW IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!)

thanks for any help guys Smile

If my kids had not have updated my PS3 I would still be able to use BlackBox, But since now i am on 3.60 OFW, None of the homebrew now works!
Thats why i wanted to do it via PS3 Proxy and 1.12 PKG.

:(
There's no way to do it with "1" ps3 now.
If you have two, one running cfw one running ofw, then ftp the data to the cfw and do a backup transfer from the cfw to the ofw.

Shame I only have the 1 PS!!
Was hoping to unpackage the 1.12 update, replace the patch_mp.ff with the modified one and then repackage it. then use ps3 proxy to update mw2 to 1.12

Thanks anyway!

Ok after a little more digging around,

I can unpack the original PKG for the MW2 1.12 update.
I have replaced Patch_mp.ff with a Modded one.
After trying to repackage it back to PKG I get these errors:

Default.self and Default_mp.self are a non npdrm file?
Illegal Package: PARAM.SFO check fail.

Now i am a bit nooby at this, but is this because of using retail PKG Files?

Or something else? any help would be great!

Cheers Guys
