Yes it's safe, you can just install the Kmeaw CFW over the top of the geohot one and it won't brick or anything.

You'll also need the homebrew app LV2 patcher with kmeaw, it makes it work better. You just run it once everytime you turn on your PS3.

Only install the latest v9 lv2 patcher, others are just there for archival purposes.

I recommend multiman or rogero manager for use with backups.

isn't there a specifi version of multiman for gh/wt cfw?

Also when switching firmwares, I would advice you to revert back to 3.55 OFW then install CFW
