are you on 3.50 or 3.60 if your on 3.50 go into recovery mode then install your custom firmware

well listen i am going to buy new ps3 2day and its going to on 3.50 and i want to update to 3.55 and have cfw .. well when i try to see if sony official firmware is working when i press system update .. on 3.60 .. then i get .. data is aplicable .. i am not trying to downdrage i am trying to check .. when i ut kmew 3.55 on my flash drive .. then when i went over system update it shows me kmeaw update ..
