If you update you'll be fine you can put it from your pc to USB than install it via .pkg files

so u mean if i have it all backed up i can update (but when u update install goes away) then plug my usb in with my backup find my blus30377 and replace the patch_mp.ff and go back 2 my ps3 and press restore?

Updating ps3 firmware doesnt delete your gamesave you'll still have your patch if you update your ps3 If you update your MW2 to 1.12 than your patch goes away :O

nooo i already updated 2 1.12 and put my modded patch on but im saying if i want 2 change it can i just do the backup then change then restore method ?
