(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a 3.41 ps3 with no blue ray drive. I attempted to downgrade to remarry the 2 extra boards I have. Something went wrong....so now I can only get to recovery which none of the options work. Tried reinstalling the firmware and even custom firmware same version and later. Checks for the firmware forever so then error. I have 2 hdd's....1 is stuck in a update loop and the other as I said does nothing other than let me in recovery mode(again, none of the options work)
I'm guessing it won't let me update because their is a problem with the system not finding a blue ray attached. I have done several different things such as hooking up the boards...just random things...but again with the looping hdd it always errors out at about 70%
The hdd that goes into recovery will not access the hdd same with other options...or it will just shut off.
Would appreciate any help

I'm not to sure but I think your PS3 might be "bricked" as they say. But like I said I'm not sure.

did u try formatting the drive bud ?
connect the drive to your pc
and format it to ntsc
then when u put it in your ps3 it will
do a full format to fat32

i would say your hdd's could be gubbed happened to me before
but only way of knowing it to do it on the pc
and it well report errors on drive if there is any when its formatting :rolleyes:

I haven't tried that...I don't have the hdd case to connect to the pc...but that probably is what I will need to do.
I wish it would just say the hdd is corupt and needs fixed...or a cfw etc...that would bypass the system check not showing the missing blu ray. (if that is even the complete problem...I was just under the impression if it was bricked I wouldn't even be able to access the recovery menu.

you dont need a hard drive case if your motherboard takes sata
you just need the pink sata cable there cheap as chips to buy

I have tried to update...but still gives error. Again i'm guessing because it is missing the blu ray drive why it won't process the update correctly. Yea and I can jailbreak with the one hdd that doesn't do the update loop...but their again I can't get to the xmb...just the recovery menu...I only know it is jailbroken for the fact that...the e3 cardreader lights up a certain way. I'm going to check on that sata cable today.

try rebuilding it (taking every thing apart, clean and put back together)
