(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); how can i know that its 3.56 v1 or v2 ???i want to upgrade my ps3 harddrive 160gb model to 500gb now but i just dont know if its the first 3.56v1 or 3.56v2 cause i bought the ps3 with 3.56 firmware.
can someone ans me urgently plzz.

If its v1 than upgrading HDD won't work it will say "corrupted data" than if it's V2 than the HDD swap will be sucessful and won't cause the "Corrupted Data" error

sory thats known right?i want to know how to tell if its 3.56v1 or v2 for the same thing so that i dont run into hdd upgrade problems..so my question is still unanswer!

Go to system update. If it tells you there is an optional update available, then you have v1. If it says your using most recent firmware, then your good.

Just try it and find out. if it works, it works, if it don't -> update. you can get update links to the 2nd 3.56 firmware, if you really want it. Just search here or google. :y:

k thanks all of you helped but anyway just upgraded the drive !!thx for all ur suggestions i have googled and upgraded but still didnt get the right answer how do you know there differences when you unpack them?
