Post: Yet another question about eboots

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have searched on google and this forum for the past 6 hours and am on the verge of loosing my mind. I downloaded a .pkg for my backup of Star Ocean: The Last Hope. This pkg is for 3.41jb and Im on 3.55jb so I need to unpack then repack for 3.55 right? If this is the case, How do I do that? I unpacked the pkg using both "PSP PS3 PKG Decrypter Extractor v.1.0.0.1" and PKGView and this seemed to work correctly. However, whenever I try to repack them for 3,55, I get an error that seemingly has to do with the eboot.bin. I have looked this up in multiple forums and read that you have to unencrypt the eboot to repack the pkg. I have also read that you cannot decrypt a retail eboot so I guess my main question is, How do you package (pkg) a retail eboot? It must be possible because you can find cheat pkgs all over the net

Decrypt eboot.
hex edit the eboot if nessecary.
encrypt it with 3.55 keys (cygwin).
Rebuild the folder structure with the new eboot.
Pkg it, install it.
