Have you only got one ps3 m8 if you got two you can swap the data over but truth be told not to sure if you can change or edit files without having one lower on 3.55 or lower sorry i might be wrong tho

Sorry you can't encrypt or decrypt retail backup. You should have backed up patches before you updated so you can switch. Sorry but you cant edit it.
