(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I basically followed the instructions, I have a FAT32 USB with Lv2diag File 1 and modified 3.41 inside the root (with nothing else inside).
Got my ps3 into service mode, and I turned it off.
I connected the USB at the right port, it showed a few blinking green lights a few times but after that the ps3 just boots back into service mode still in 3.55 firmware.

I tried to quit factory mode by the file lv2diag FILE 2 inside the USB and it worked, so I assume it can read the USB I'm using.

I've repeated the steps but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Currently I have the psjailbreak 2 dongle used to set the ps3 in service mode, if that helps. Right now I'm downloading same files from different sources just to check if they're correct.

Once you get into service mode you have to use a normal usb with the lv2diag and the OFW 3.41!!Happy

Yea use a normal USB
And you make sure that you dont do the normal jailbreak routine. ( Power Eject )
Your PS3 should not boot for about 3-5 Minutes Smile
Than Gratz :y:

by normal usb you mean the NTFS format?

I have the 3.41 OFW I'll try to see if it works. I'm taking all possibilities as I'm in desperate measures right now

You need a usb that you buy from the store like a duracell 8gb and make sure it is formatted FAT32:plank:

yes i have that USB, as i've said in my first post, it's already in FAT32.

ANYWAY, I finally got it downgraded. Thanks for the help guys, it seems that I DO need the original firmware. Now I have to get back to jailbreaking. Updating it to 3.55 was the first and biggest mistake I made :FU:
