I in no way take credit for this. I copied and pasted this. I just wanted to share.
You must create a new PSN account for this to work.
Here is the source.
EDIT: Link Removed because page is dead. There is enough confirmations of this working.
EDIT: While it does show you connected to PSN. Its like an alternate server. I just tried adding my main account to the new one and it says it don't exist.

I loaded Iris manager which is homebrew. it works fine for backups.. It has its own payload.. and Make sure you change the BDMENU options...

same i tested almost all the ones you did and some more and they all seem to work i dont think any addtional action is needed for your hombrew to work.
