Take the harddrive out and turn it on and see if you get something... Usually with a power-cut the harddrive fails.

Powersupply is (in Holland) 220V. When a power-cut happens it gets a spike to 240max and blows out components. Could also be your motherboard, but maybe your HDD. Try pulling it out and see what happens. If that doesnt work return it under warranty and if you got no warranty call your insurance.

Step 1: Turn on your playstation so the red light starts blinking

Step 2: Keep holding the power button so your ps3 turns directly off (listen good, you can hear the cooler stop)

Step 3: Release Power Button

Step 4: Now press the power button again and keep holding untill you hear 2 beeps (beep beep), you are now in recovery mode.

I hope you were on 3.55

If you were on 3.56 , may your PS3 rest in peace
