(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I've a problem with my 40GB PS3. When I installed 3.6, at 59% the PS3 showed me a Error "8002F1F9"...

Can I fix the problem?

Don't install 3.6, so you will still be able to hack.
Otherwise, try to update again, or download the update from the playstation website, put it on a USB stick and update via storage media.
If that doesn't work, restart your PS3, and if that doesn't work, :bat:

Well try both from updating USB and internet. Its weird but try to update from those two ways. If both those fail than update from Recovery mode.

You should change the thread title and add a question mark, because it's a little misleading.

I thought this would be a tutorial; I have a friend who keeps getting this error

Save Point
you won't be able to access the recovery menu. so you should format the ps3 hard drive on your pc. this will stop the update loop.
