no you wont get banned if you update just format your hard-drive then go back to ofw 3.55 then update m8 you will be fine

I seriously doubt they'll ever be banning anyone, their warning just seem to be cheap scare tactics to stop as many people from doing these things without having to actually ban anyone and risk all sorts of law suits and legal trouble.

You dont have to do anything extra, just update straight up you will not get banned. This is what i did and all my friends and non had any problem and not even single one got banned.

i would not update. Just think of all the people that did and regret it. Its tough to hold out, but if i was u i would.
