The one thing you missed was that the firmware is flashed onto the NAND or nor. NAND for phat, and nor for slim

Before you spam that this is impossible, please read what I have to say.
All I really want is to get my PS3 on 3.41 OFW (but if I have to, I'll update to a 3.60 CFW)
---------------------VVV INFO ABOUT ME VVV---------------------
I have 2 PS3s:
1 - the old original "PHAT" PS3 that CAN play PS2 games
(Running 3.60 OFW completely updated and online)
1 - the old "PHAT" one that CAN'T play PS2 games
(Running 3.56 OFW in Factory/Service Mode)
I have a decent amount of experience.
I run Ubuntu (Linux) on VirtualBox for the PS3.
---------------------^^^INFO ABOUT ME ^^^---------------------
I've heard many people say that it is impossible to get a PS3 out of Factory/Service Mode for these reasons (which are all true):
- the lv2 (self) key has been blocked (and no longer works)
- Recovery Mode has been taken out
I've experimented with the PS3 Internal HDD. I still can't seem to crack the encryption and access its files. Supposedly Graf_Chukolo has been able to crack the encryption using certain offsets.
Is it possible that I could decrypt my Internal HDD and flash a lower FW version onto it? If so, how?
I briefly looked at Graf_Chukolo's list of offsets, but I still don't know how or where to use them. (Or even if they would work).
Any other thoughts on how I might be able to downgrade this PS3? Or get it out of Service Mode?
Another thought I had was if I updated to a 3.60 CFW. Would that work? or would I get the Red Screen of Death?

No! Don't do that! I hope it's not too late lol
