No it does not, you haven't read shite I said or any sites have you? The privacy patch cuts off all calls home to Sony. You would then need to update games yourself as they will not just download anymore but Sony can;t see what you are doing anymore. This was the whole reason for making v0.2 as the first was pulled due to DMCA violations. So to make it legal they added the feature to remove calls back to Sony to make it legal as modifing anything to enhance security is legal. Now what you are thinking of is the stealth patch for rebug 3.55.1 by blazie. This I can apply myself as it is just a patch but if someone is going to do it they might as well use this one as it adds a little more privacy as it makes the rebug selector a stealth app by chaning the ID to the Tetris Demo once used and yes it also adds the custom CA24/7.cer files for a little extra protection for those using PSN still.

I have spent some hours today figuring out how to patch rebug with the privacy patch. I think I have managed, so I will also try teaching you and providing you with the required tools.

First you need:
Rebug 3.55.1 from official rebug.me site
rebug_patch_privacy.rar for same place

Then you need a compiled version of MWF builder v0.2
You must login or register to view this content.

You could also try the stealth patch if you want:
You must login or register to view this content.

Start by extracting the MWF builder to C:\Users\Your-account (might fix some bugs by extracting it at that specified location)

Then extract rebug cfw to a random folder (doenst matter as long as you remember where you located it)

And at last extract the privacy patch to the folder called tasks in the MWF builder folder.

Start MWF builder. Open the Rebug CFW from original firmware, and select a folder you want the new CFW to be generated to.
Then untick everything in MWF and tick "Patch all REBUG self/sprx to secure privacy" in the task list.

Click create MWF and wait until your new CFW (MWF) is done!:beer:
