Post: is it possible to decrypt 3.60 files with 3.56 keys

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); im only asking because wouldnt the 3.60 pup have to contain 3.56 keys so that the ps3 recognises the update

upon asking that though u can update from any firmware to 3.60 without fail

any idea of how this all works

i no we cant downgrade firmwares but what stops it is the keys

but if the keys dont match it wont downgrade

what im asking is if the keys are different from the firmware how does it know to accept the update or not

no flaming im just asking a simple question aint no dev or a noob im just trying to straighten my mind on the matter

proabably i just wanted confirmation of it

3 weeks no spoofer or passphrase

ive been looking at how passphrases are generated using 128bits security

just trying to figuire out how sony generate there passphrases

I may be a "noob" but I think you must be right. It has to have the 3.56 passphrase or some kind of master passphrase to install. But by that logic, doesn't the 3.56 update have it too, and we haven't gotten anywhere with that.

the passphrase is the same for every ps3 sony can only change it with a update

it wnt b the same each time

but how did 3.60 manage to connect to psn before the passphrase change

has the passphrase really chaned or is it something else
